Sycorax e.V.

 

Theater Sycorax (registered society), a non-profit organization, was founded in March 2000, for the advancement of social competence and creative potential of persons with mental disorders. The group also came into existence to tear down the walls of discrimination towards such persons. To attain these goals, a series of theatre projects and other cultural activities are sponsored. The theatre group of Sycorax is a major part in this work; the association, however, emphasizes a comprehensive connection with other cultural and social projects. In addition, a large part of the public is to be informed about the everyday life of mentally ill persons with the hope that in doing so, we will be able to gain political influence for them. Theater Sycorax does not employ any full-time employees and does not receive any continuous financial support. The individual projects are solely financed by project monyes and donations, as well as by volunteer work. Theater Sycorax is member of the PARITAET International - Deutscher Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband.

  • Theater Sycorax is totally dependent on donations and sponsors to be able to guarantee and continue doing our work. By donating a yearly or a one-time sum, you can support this work and become member of the Sycorax Sponsorship group.
  • Support us with 50 Euros (minimum amount) or more per year for which you will receive a receipt of donation from us.
  • We regularly offer our sponsors something special; a premiere or an exhibition, a lecture from the field of culture and psychiatry, or other cultural surprises. You will receive special admission for all activities by Theater Sycorax, as well as current information about performances, projects, and other activities.
